Published project record

The Hill Church aerial mapping + roof thermal screening.

Property-scale mapping, visible-light roof context, and nighttime thermal capture were assembled into one organized review package for qualified follow-up.

Oblique aerial view of The Hill Church building, roof, parking area, and surrounding property in Bolivar, Missouri.
Oblique aerial context connects the church building, roof, parking, access, and surrounding property to the project mapping and screening package.

Client

The Hill Church

Location

Bolivar, Missouri

Capture

May 1, 2026

Scope

Property mapping + roof screening

Property to roof

One property. Three coordinated datasets.

The project moved deliberately from site-wide orientation into a dedicated roof reference and then into nighttime thermal screening. Each dataset answered a different review question.

01

Property RGB

Orient the property

A site-wide orthomosaic established the relationship between the building, parking, access, and surrounding property.

02

Roof RGB

Document the roof

A dedicated visible-light roof orthophoto created the reference for features, annotations, and follow-up conversations.

03

Roof thermal

Screen and organize

Nighttime thermal imagery was reviewed for apparent surface-temperature contrast and organized for qualified field follow-up.

Flagship comparison

RGB and thermal, aligned for review.

Drag the divider to connect apparent surface-temperature contrast with recognizable roof features. The comparison supports screening conversations; it does not identify cause or establish a roof-condition conclusion.

Iron Red thermal roof view of The Hill Church showing apparent surface-temperature contrast.
Iron Red thermalRGB roof context

Drag or use arrow keys to compare iron Red thermal and RGB roof context.

RGB roof context provides a visible-light reference for orientation and follow-up planning. Iron Red thermal view shows apparent surface-temperature contrast only; it does not identify the cause.

Capture to handoff

One organized review package.

The final 30-page report connected project conditions, property orientation, roof references, alternate thermal palettes, mapped review areas, detail maps, and source traceability.

  1. 01

Orient the property with a site-wide RGB orthomosaic, approximate project boundary, access context, and surrounding features.

  2. 02

Document the roof with a dedicated RGB orthophoto that gives visible context to roof features and follow-up conversations.

  3. 03

Screen at night with thermal imagery, map selected areas of apparent contrast, and organize the results for qualified field review.

What the client received

Deliverables were selected to move from broad context into focused review without overstating what the imagery could prove.

  • Property overview with approximate project boundary
  • Basemap context retained for orientation
  • Dedicated RGB roof reference
  • Iron Red and White Hot thermal views
  • Thermal context and annotation maps
  • North and south roof detail maps
  • Mapped review-area summary
  • Documented conditions, limitations, and source traceability

Review references

Specific, with the limits attached.

These references describe the documented review package. They are not flight-coverage claims, confirmed roof conditions, or repair quantities.

Roof review extent
39,200 sq ft
Interior roof review polygon, not flight coverage.
Mapped review areas
17
Areas of apparent thermal contrast selected for field review.
Approximate mapped area
about 646 sq ft
Combined total of manually digitized review polygons, not a repair quantity.
Client report
30 pages
Maps, review tables, alternate palettes, limitations, and source traceability.

Evidence boundary

Useful screening. Qualified conclusions.

  • Thermal capture occurred at night under documented project conditions.
  • No roof access or physical roof inspection was performed.
  • No core cuts, moisture probes, membrane sampling, or invasive verification were performed.
  • Weather, roof materials, seams, penetrations, drainage, and rooftop equipment can influence apparent surface-temperature contrast.
  • Qualified field review is required before drawing roof-condition or repair conclusions.

The approximate property boundary supports project orientation only. The thermal views support screening and field-review planning only.
